During the afternoon, I taken chicken rice as my lunch at Mayflower again as below.
After that, I had a meeting with a contact that I found through online. It has been quite some time that I research about those Google ads and social media related information and also consulted a few expert in the field. Anyways, I had grab the opportunity to meet up with real person instead of just sitting whole day in the office figuring out how to drive people to use the company's payment service. Around 1.30pm I make a move from office and I had explored on
how to go to Taman Miharja from KL Sentral. Upon arrived at the Taman Miharja LRT station, I walked to Viva home to meet up with the client at Boston. Well, the meeting goes well and I just realized he is the boss for the "grass plantation" business. He supplied to all of the aquarium shop retailer and also have quite a number of people working under him. Hence, he need more sales for his grass plantation business since he own some land to plant it.
So how does this related to
E-Commerce? Well, the solution for this meeting is to provide a platform for him to post all 5,000+ types of grass plantation into the website and use our payment service for every transaction. However, he seems to be not free and need people who can post all those stuff. Certainly I'm not able to do that all alone because that is time consuming. You could just imagine if every merchant need others people to manage their product, then the salesman/marketing person would not have time to find new prospect. Frankly speaking, I'm not sure how profitable is this grass plantation business is as you can see the preview of the product as below.
However, he claims that he had bought 2 landed house and have a team to do this business within 2 years time of start up alone. Over time, I think the answer I find is already very clear, which is
execute things instead of keep thinking of ideas which end up less execution.
Anyways, I guess I had learned a lot by exposing myself to study what is the needs and demands that people face when they want to market their product online. This is truly better than sitting whole day in the office because I felt I learn more from others people sharing. In fact, there is a lot of opportunity happening in life if you think positive and see everything as a potential to collaborate.
One main point is never stop learning and have passion to do what you like to do. Around 3.50pm I took the train back to KL Sentral as below.
Upon arrived office, I continue to do my self research. I found a way to stay focused which is listen to music with earphone instead of listening to others people talking although it might caused a "negative assumption" that I might someone who is mean or not so good impression. After office hour, I quickly take the train back home because will go out with my parents for dinner.
During the night, we went to have our dinner at
Tasty KK (品味) restaurant at Bukit Tinggi Klang area. There's RM9.90 buffet promotion happening but most of the food is processed food and you need to pay extra RM4 per plate for others seafood. Anyways, you can't really complain much since it just cost RM9.90. When I arrived home, we just noticed that brother had just came back and left us with some durian that he bought at Johor as below.
It was frozen and I just eat a few of it. Overall today I'm having a great experience when I meet with people and truly appreciate the opportunity as I will learn something from others people instead of self exploration that took up a lot of time.
