Today seems to be a great day because it is dated as 8/8/2015, have both "88" number which mean "huat ah" (getting rich) in Chinese numbers. During the afternoon, I went out to print out my IC, driving license, 3 month pay slip and KWSP EPF statement for the required documents because I will be going to Perodua Bandar Baru Klang (BBK) to have a look for the car as I finally decided to buy a car. Well, mother cooked homecook Bak Kut Teh as our lunch as below.
Around 2.30pm we make a move from home as my sister fetch me to the Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd while my brother will go there soon. Upon arrival, I just saw so many people come and waited for Mr Jimmy as below.
I just know him from referral and he have 18 years of experience being one of the salesman for Perodua car.
Somehow I decided not to buy Perodua Axia 1.0 Advance Edition for RM41,967.15 because the resale value is not high as Myvi, need to wait 1~2 month to get the stock and Myvi still look more stable than Axia although the price is similar in someway. During the moment when deciding whether want to buy the New Myvi 1.3 STD Auto D3GZ3 that cost for RM43,486.15 for solid of RM44,262.15 for metalic colour, I suddenly have the interest to look for the Myvi Premium X Auto that cost for RM46,862.15 because the premium one's have ABS breaking system and there's a promotion of RM1,300 off as below.
However, I asked him whether can give me FREE gift or not because I told him that I had do some research and there's another salesman offering me extra RM1,000 worth of FREE gifts at Ampang area as I will be going to KL soon.
The Ampang salesman posted the Perodua Merdeka deals stated that discount RM2,500 for Alza and RM1,300 for Myvi 1.3 plus FREE Gits message as below.

However, he told me to buy at branch better because it is 100% confirm straight manufacture from the factor and there's different between branches and dealers shop. In Malaysia, he said there is 40 Perodua branches and 160 Perodua dealer shop as below.
Sometime the dealer shop is not really that new as they parked outside the shop waiting for buyer. Hence, this reason is already enough for me to buy the Perodua car with him directly. After some moment pass, there's is a lady and I just got to know she is one of the CIMB Klang branch manager which provide loan for the remaining RM42,000 (90%) loan that I need to borrow from the bank because every bank is different. Through her sharing, I get to know there's a new loan scheme that pays on the different rate every month and you can pay more if you have more money instead of just tied up with 9 years same interest loan.
So the 2.88% loan seems to be applicable to bumiputra and the normal rate for car loan is around 3.15~3.18+ % depend on different bank. However, this still need to wait the bank for approval and I just need to pay RM500 as a deposit. On the other hand, I get to know about the hardship of being a salesman among colleagues because it is mostly depends on commission to survive. Hence, I think this can link to something that I said back in April in office about the commission part that might "hurt" some colleagues feeling. Seriously in life, I just felt it could be true about the saying's "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future" by Steve Jobs speech that I wrote back in 2011. Afterall, I haven bring any sales to the company since I back on 31st July 2015 although I'm having the best research jobs at this moment.
Anyways, back to the salesman part as the told me that I need to pay extra RM200 + RM110 runner fee for my car's plate number. Furthermore, you can have a choice whether want to buy the car's window insurance that cost RM166+ per year. In the meantime, I can use my credit card to swap for 10% deposit amount. After I decided to buy with him, I walked out from the Perodua shop and walked to the nearby CIMB bank to withdraw RM1,000 as below.
When I came back, my brother arrived and we tends to negotiate more while he serve us some drinks as below.
In the end, we got a FREE cash voucher for tinted film and full tank of petrol when he deliver the car to me next 2 week if my bank loan approved. So it still means that I might able to buy the Myvi car if the bank rejected my loan partly because the last 2 month salary when I was in Penang for SAP.
At last, I just need to pay RM3,093.95 (normal is RM2962.15) after add on something, deduct RM1,300 and RM500 deposit instead of RM4,762.15 as 10% deposit for the RM46,862.15 Myvi Premium X Auto version stated as below.
So my strategy could be using credit card to pay for the RM3,093.95 as my 10% installment. The total money that I paid him is RM800 (RM500+RM310) instead of RM810 as he discount RM10 to me. Eventually I only paid RM500 because my brother and sister will sponsor me RM150 each for the car plate number but I only receive it end of month. Frankly speaking, I didn't blame my father for not sponsoring me for the car deposit since his business not doing good and his age should be in retiring stage instead of still working as a 60+ year old person. For now, I think I won't trouble him more once I got my own car to drive and hopefully can earn some money part time to cover my cost.
After that, we got to test drive the Myvi car but that test drive car is Myvi 1.5 as below.
Somehow it is quite weird to buy first and test drive later as the process should be test drive first before buying right? So the main concern now is about the "XPAD" stuff as I felt the "business world" is a no risk no gain game. After living for so long as a 25 year old guy with degree in e-commerce and marketing qualification, it is true that there is no such thing as GUARANTEE and no exact way on how you want to live your life. Besides, I do wonder whether is it true or not that a lot of people lost jobs with high paid salary that start with RM4,000+ out there in the working environment. For now, I just need to find my ways to earn money to cover back my monthly RM499 car installment for the Myvi as my new commitment other than my UK loan or PTPTN loan. Anyways, this is just a experience about how I manage to buy the Myvi 1.3 car by just paying RM500 as deposit and the remaining use credit card to swap while waiting the bank loan to approve. Hopefully everything goes well and stay positive!
