Today's is a very "adventurous" after I awake at 6.30am. Well, I didn't really study the insurance things before going to sit the exam. During the afternoon, I went to pump my car's petrol with credit card and it cost around RM60 to fill up to full tank for Myvi as below.
Upon arrived to the insurance center, I took two different exam paper. Somehow it is a great experience to see people from all sort of different career background taking this insurance exam. After that, I enjoyed myself with my favourite Salmon Sashimi at one of the Japanese restaurant there. Upon depart from there and start to do Uber, I faced some difficulties when buying the RM99 Smart Tag promotion. Anyways, I managed to overcome it and meet a friend near Bangsar Shell station as below.
Unfortunately it is a wrong location but I still managed to meet him at another "secret location".
After that, he guided to somewhere near Bangsar shopping mall. After waited for about 30 minute, I got my first rider and it is a foreigner couple, from US/France if I'm not mistaken as I really nervous that moment. I greeted them like "Hi Sir, I'm your Uber driver today, where would you like to go?" and etc. Luckily I follow the Waze and managed to complete my first trip within the Sri Hartamas / Mont Kiara area as below.
Then I waited at the nearby area as below.
However, there is no people and I drove back to Sri Hartamas area. Somehow I start to feel this Uber thingy not really feasible as I wait quite some time inside car and still no customer. Then I realized there is so many Uber driver around me when I open the Uber rider apps as below.
Then I decided to drive back to KL Sentral area because that location is something that I'm familiar with as below.
I parked near the Sithique Nasi Kandar shop but there is still no sign of beeping from the apps.
Hence, I just told myself to turn 10 round near the KL Sentral area and will back to Klang if there is still no customer as below.
After some moment, I managed to get my 2nd customer and he is a traveler from oversea and I completed my second trip to Bukit Bintang area as below.
Well, when I decided to off the Uber apps, my referral told me that there is some sort of Uber incentive until 3am midnight and I just turn on for 5 minute just to see whether got people need a rides around the area. Suddenly my phone "beep" within 2 minute of waiting and there is no choice for me to cancel the trip just to maintain my acceptance rate. Somehow the next customer location is quite far and I just feel that actually there is more people hardworking than us just like those "immigrant foreigner" who work in those construction site as below.
When I almost reach the 3rd customer location, I suddenly have a fear when pass through a jungle because the road ahead is totally dark and nobody and I'm scared. Then I look closely into the Waze and it is just 3 minute to the customer location and I just drive through the jungle and finally reach the location. My 3rd customer consists of 3 girls who just back from Bon Jovi concert. I took about 20 minute to reach the location and about 30 minute to fetch them back to their house. They offered me to go to their house's washroom for a break but I rejected. After that, I drive to the nearby petrol station to go for washroom and buy some drinks as below.
Apparently I didn't drink water for about 3 hour and just feel so tired because I didn't bring any extra water with me. Besides, I waited another 15 minute just to use the washroom as I don't know why the guy spend so long inside the toilet as below.
Hereby is the end of my Uber driver report as I had completed 3 trips and maintained my 5 stars ratings.
The total earning before incentives is around RM29.88 for the day and I truly exhausted.
Finally I reach home around 1am and I realized the petrol left about half tank/when reach home as below.
Here is how I differentiate myself from others as a UberX driver as I provide 3 FREE thing as below.
1) FREE WiFi from U-mobile
2) FREE phone charging service using powerbank
3) FREE Mentos sweet.
Furthermore, I do enjoyed to take a rides from Uber as I had been taking Uber rides for almost 1 year if you read my first time sit Uber experience. At last, feel free to contact me if anyone of you need a rides during weekend as you can send an email to me at lonelyreload@hotmail.com to pre-book. Indeed this blog post is updated on the next day when I have free time. The true story is if you spend your time to do Uber, you don't really have much time to do other online thing like chatting in forum, blogging or etc because you're exchanging your time with MONEY. For now, I just want to validate whether what other's people saying is true of not as they say Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) will catch Uber driver but so far didn't really have any real evidence or proof. Apart from there, people claim that being a part time Uber driver can earn up to RM4,000 extra income a month. As for Grabcar from Grabtaxi, they claim can earn RM2,000 per week, RM8,000 per month but I don't know is real or not. So the only way to find out the truth is to try out yourself instead of listing to other people "boasting/bullshxting" online. I hold the truth and the truth is this part time job is indeed a very tiring and you start to understand the feeling of become a driver.
