Hello everyone! For this time, the food review is not by Reload Food / Lonely Reload but by Mieko, one of my FB online friend. So, a little bit of information about me, this is not the first time I experienced European fine dining but it is my first time in Malaysia! Previously I had mine in one of the land of fine dining itself – France. So here, I’m gonna review about my first fine dining experience in SKY360, e-City Hotel at One City, Taman Subang Permai, Subang Jaya. I grabbed along my unbiological male twin, a close friend of mine who is also a photographer at the same time to tag along with me as a token of goodwill from me. So, on 29th January was a Friday night which unfortunately having a sudden storm few hours before the dining experience session and of course, I were stuck in Subang Jaya’s horrible traffic – the usual.  SKY360 is located at the R floor of this hotel’s building.
So far, when I came for this food review, at the same time there is company dinner going on so, the place is full of people coming for the dinner buffet thus, I am unable to explain how on 14th February the settings and atmosphere will be but I am pretty sure it will be more quiet and romantic unlike that day. As you can see from the menu, you will be given three choices; chicken, beef or fish. As for me, I took the fish option while my friend picked the Wellington Beef option. Yes, I were so anticipated how to food tastes like.

~ APPETIZER~
Foie Grass Mousse with Nut Bread, Truffle Mascarpone Cheese, Apple Chutney, Fruits Salsa, Caramelized Shallot and Rocket with Plum Orange Ginger Dressing.
First of all, I am not a nut fan. The first time I taste it, this appetizer gave me a bit of exotic taste until I start chewing it. The taste gave me really good feeling and some meat-ish taste. Oh, the white sauce which is the mascarpone cheese tastes really really good!

~ Soup~
Seafood Bouillabaisse with Spicy Mango Pannacotta
Top of the top, the soup tastes really amazing! The seafood which were a prawn, clam, salmon roe and oyster were really clean and fresh which gives really rich and exquisite taste to my tongue. Genuine advise, do not mix the seafood with the soup. It will give you weird taste. I did that after I tasted both of them separately and regretted it. So I guess they are meant to be eaten and enjoyed separately. The mango pannacotta was alright for me because I do not really like mixing spicy taste with mango together.

~MAIN COURSE~
Slow Cook Black Angus Wellington Beef, Potato Fondant, Roasted Root Vegetable, Papaya Chutney, Garlic Almond Puree and Balsamic Kalamala Reduction
This was not my choice of main course but my friend’s, so I took few bites to taste how the meat tastes like. Super juicy, soft, easy to manage and cut and the way it prepared somehow remind me of how pie tasted like. LOVE it so much! Oh how I regretted didn’t pick this option and pick the fish option instead but what done is done. Honestly this is one of the best beef I ever tasted ever. The balsamic sauce given also tastes really amazing! Well done and sweet. If you try the purple colored fondant or sauce as you see there it is actually sweet potato which tastes really good as well!

~MAIN COURSE~
Steam Almond Crusted Cod Fish, Layered with Avocado Crabmeat, Pommery Mustard, Green Peas Puree, Sweet Potato, Vegetable Confit, and Sun Dried Tomato Emulsion
I am not saying that my fish option is bad but it is just I preferred the beef better. So, if you were wondering what is that green-ish broccoli look-alike that is covering the fish, it is actually the avocado crabmeat layers which taste really yummy. The cod fish was soft and tastes really rich which gives me an almost satisfying flavor. The yellow sauce is the Sun Dried Tomato Emulsion, is also very relishing. Just take note, the salmon roe in this meal somehow tastes a bit too salty for my tongue. Overall, it was indeed a good, satisfying meal.

~MAIN COURSE~
Chicken Supreme with Date, Arancini, Jade Vegetable, Capsicum Relish, Smoked Cauliflower and Pink pepper Corn Reduction

~ DESSERT~
Chocolate Raisin Cake, Layered with Raspberry Cremeux, Served with Dark Chocolate Ganache, Cube Walnut Brownies, Meringue, Almond Cinnamon Crumble, and Quenelle Vanilla Fresh Crème
I don’t like raisin and raspberry kind of person but this cake is superb! Usually I eat very little to maybe just a bite of any raisin or raspberry related food item but I finished up this cake. The tastes were not too bland and not too sweet. Pretty much I and the type who can get sick and irked by sweet things very easily so this cake tastes just nice or just perfect. The texture and thickness is moderate as you can cut the cake very easy as it required little amount of energy to cut through using a fork which means this cake is not hard at all! As I mentioned earlier, for a person who seldom eats and dislikes raisin and raspberry, I am surprised that this mix taste of these two blended together are actually tastes great and I love it!
All these meal are by two young and bright chefs of SKY360 who are Chef Raziq and Chef Harry!
For this upcoming Valentine’s Day, SKY360 is offering dining packages for love couples out there who wants to celebrate this romantic day a little bit special. SKY360 has two types of packages, RM128 nett per person for this 4 course set dinner OR RM339 nett per couple which are the 4 course set dinner, 2 days 1 night stay at e-City Hotel and buffet breakfast for two!
In my opinion, it is more worth it to get the Package B instead of Package A. Anyway, it IS a BEAUTIFUL hotel after all especially when you are already at the Rooftop level for the beautiful view.

My happy face after enjoyed the entire 4 course meal.
Also, we were give two chocolate pralines, white chocolate and dark chocolate as you can refer to the menu. I would like to thank ReloadFood for having me to review over this exciting fine dining experience. I hoped my reviews are useful and helpful for couples out there who is looking for a place to celebrate Valentine’s Day in two weeks. Of course, I recommended Package B which is way way worth it to compare to Package A. So, why not? Yeah?
Make your reservation now via call or e-mail, details on the menu!
=)
