After watched the
IGirl (夢情人) movie at Aeon Jusco, I phoned my parents as they went to shopping at Sunway Pyramid. After some moment, my father phoned me again and told me that they will have dinner at Mohd Chan Chinese Muslim restaurant at Shah Alam area. Hence, I just drove to there using my phone's Waze GPS. I arrived around 6pm and waited there and waited my parent to arrive.
Somehow I felt that this would be my first Halal food with parents for this year at Mohd Chan (清真) Makanan Cina Muslim restaurant because we seldom eat at Halal restaurant.
When my parent arrived, we went to get a seat inside.
I was curious and asked my father why he want to eat here and he said this restaurant is recommend by one of his friends. Don't get me wrong that I'm not racist but is just out of curious as I mentioned earlier that I seldom eat Halal food when eat out with parents. In fact, some of my mother's side relatives is Muslim. I flipped through the menu and the food picture looks promising and I suddenly felt it is like "Baba and Nyonya" combination style in someway.
We ordered 5 dishes and all the food is being served within 15 minute of waiting time.
1) Dim sum 9 pieces for RM12
Upon tasting the dim sum, I still prefer our Chinese style dim sum as I felt it is lack of something but I don't know is what thing.
2) Ayam BBQ for RM19.90
The taste of the BBQ chicken is really nice.
3) Seong Tong Lala for RM20
The lala is just okay but I still prefer the Chinese restaurant style where alcohol is added inside.
4) Loh Hon Zai for RM16
Taste is okay.
5) Wok Sing Kong Taufu for RM16.90
I like the tofu and the gravy for this dish. The total bills for this all this food is RM103.25 and I treated my parents for it.

Overall it is new experience for me and I can recommend my office colleague to come try this halal restaurant in future.
