After I had finished attending the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Summits 2016 | Kuala Lumpur event at One World Hotel, I drove to Jalan Ampang area for Zomato gathering at Rokko (六甲) Japanese Grill dining restaurant. I arrived that area around 7.30pm and parked my car inside Avenue K and walked to the venue at ground floor of Le Apple Boutique Hotel.
Upon walked in the Japanese restaurant, I likes the surrounding of their interior design especially it is is decorated with different kind of Japanese alcohol bottles.
When I walked at the back of the restaurant, I find the decoration is really great as it give you a feeling that you're dining at a real Japanese restaurant in Japan.
Upon seated on the reserved slot, I flip through the menu on the electronic device and find it is quite user friendly especially you can "Call The Staff" to order your food by just pressing the tab below.
The starter that we have for our dinner is the Japanese salad.
The taste of the salad is good with the combination of tomato, cabbage and their secret sauce.
Next, we have Edamame and we was told that it is better to serve with the root.
Then we have the baby squid cutting as one of our starter and it taste just okay for my experience.
After that, we have 3 type of sashimi cold cut which is Maguro (tuna), salmon and butter fish.
Seriously the salmon really taste awesome for me because you can sense it is fresh upon eating.
Somehow the restaurant manager had treated us the Hennessy Black alcohol drinks.
The taste is nice especially when you're eating with Japanese food as it taste like Sake in someway.
Apparently the "assorted pumpkin slice" taste very similar to mango for it's texture and it is my first time to eat pumpkin in such a way it is being prepared.
Next, we have Japanese sushi and I just love the half grilled salmon sushi very much especially the way they cut the salmon into half picture by wrapped the whole rice into it.
Furthermore, we do tried their teriyaki chicken and it taste nice when eating together with the sauce.
Another dish that being served is the teriyaki beef but I couldn't eat it.
I heard my friends around me saying that their beef is delicious. Hence, I just have the grilled fish and its taste is nice.
It is great to eat together with the Japanese onion fried rice.
As for our final main course, we have the Yakisoba and we're told that it can serve up to 6 people when you order this dish.
Finally we have a the Japanese mocha ice cream as our dessert.
Personally I am still preferring other flavour of ice cream if compared to this one. Currently the shop is offering set menu dish and alcoholic drinks promotion.
